BIM

In 2015 our firm decided to invest significantly both in purchasing licenses and hardware, and in training for our employees, in order to compete in the BIM processes design market (Building Information Modelling).

This new design mode is defined as a digital representation of the physical characteristics of an object (or of a building, in our case) and consists in the realization of a three-dimensional model of the building, where its objects are linked to specific different characteristics: a window, in addition to all its geometric characteristics, presents for example all those ones related to sound insulation, energy performance or costs.

In this way the three-dimensional model can automatically provide the characteristics of the property in terms of energy, acoustic performance or overall costs.

By integrating structures and systems in the same model, any interference can be detected on the paper, so to avoid unpleasant surprises on building site.

Statistics show that using BIM design processes reduces design errors and unforeseen events on-site.

The design phase is affected by another big advantage: our customers can easily compare any different proposed solution, without losing sight of the overall complexity of the project.
